Blenders & Bowls is the product of the combined passions of two best friends, Erin and Kara. In 2010, these adventurous and free-spirited girls moved from Hawaii to Austin. It didn’t take long for them to fall hard for the “live music capital of the world,” but something was missing — Açaí — the Brazilian superfruit that makes you feel super good! What started as a mean craving for an açaí bowl led to the creation of Blenders and Bowls. It was only a few short months between idea and creation. In a rush to share the true powers and flavors of açaí with Austin the girls opened Blenders and Bowls — the healthy mobile food truck. Erin and Kara like to think of the short time in the food truck as a marketing research project- trying to see if Austin would love acai bowls as much as they do. They knew they were onto something when they were asked to join a space with Wanderlust Yoga at 4th and Brazos in the heart of downtown Austin.
Blenders & Bowls has made a strong name for themselves—everyone seems to enjoy an acai bowl—you will see suits, spandex, strollers, and backpacks at their locations
